DOWN TO THE MINUTE
A battery management controller is integrated with the rechargeable battery and enables you to see in the Supernova app the exact remaining light duration for all brightness levels, independent of temperature. The status is displayed on the battery itself with an RGB LED.
Never end up in the dark again! Two hours of ECO mode low beam are always available to you automatically after the normal lighting time has elapsed. This backup mode is still much brighter than many other lights on the market.
COMING HOME MODE
When you arrive home, you can leave your front light on. An integrated vibration sensor detects the end of the ride and switches the light off automatically after a few minutes. This means that your way out of the storage area is lit.
When there is a sudden change of light, for example when darkness falls or when you pass through a tunnel, the light sensor in the battery automatically switches on the low beam.
The optimal charging temperature for a battery is about 20°C (68F). Significantly higher and lower temperatures damage the cell chemistry immensely during the charging process. That’s why our high-tech battery, like that of a modern electric car, has an integrated battery heater which ensures an optimal charging temperature when it’s too cold. At high temperatures above 40°C (104F) degrees, the charging automatically stops until the temperature drops. The polished aluminum casing reflects the sunlight and prevents overheating better than a black plastic casing.
Have you ever heard of a 5-year warranty on batteries? That is what we provide! To be eligible, you will need to activate the fully automatic Longlife mode for more than 50% of the battery’s service life. Also, you’ll need to ensure that the battery doesn’t remain in a hot car for a long time when it’s fully charged. Even without using the Longlife mode, we still offer an exceptional 3-year warranty.
The Longlife Mode significantly extends the battery’s lifespan. In this mode, a special processor-controlled charge protects the cells from overheating during charging. In this mode, the battery charges to only 85%, which prevents harmful high battery voltages.
If you are not going to use the battery for a long time, you can put it into Hibernation Mode. It then remains at an optimum voltage on the charger. The Hibernation Mode effectively stops the battery’s chemical aging by preventing a deep discharge.
The Supernova App for the M99 MINI PROB54 is designed to be used predominantly while riding. You can install it on Smartphones or Android or Apple iOS Smartwatches. On the Nightride screen, the app displays the currently activated light level, as well as the other available light modes, while indicating the exact remaining burn time, down to the minute. The app can be used to activate or deactivate various convenient functions, such as the Longlife mode. The Supernova app notifies you of your battery’s current health status. It also displays your expanding warranty period, which can be extended to up to five years if you treat your battery with care. You definitely need to avoid storing the battery in a hot car in the middle of summer! If you don’t want to use your mobile phone while riding, you can, of course, program and control your lights without an app.

The brightest legally-approved front light – The battery version of M99 MINI PROB54 is even brighter than that of the successful E-Bike version. The high beam is perfect for speedy descents or winding roads. Thanks to its extremely wide beam angle, the high beam of the M99 MINI PROB54 reaches much farther. In addition, the high beam illuminates bends extremely well, road signs are more visible, and the light cone is not affected by the diving of the suspension fork. Other front light manufacturers often claim to have higher lumen values. However, much of their light is dispersed and not focused on the trail where you need it. Such lights do not come close to the uniform, far-reaching, focused light carpet of the M99 MINI PROB54, which immensely increases visibility and safety. Additionally, you can ride in city traffic without dazzling others by switching to the powerful low beam, in line with road traffic regulations.
The Diving of the suspension fork
The diving of the suspension fork is a well-known problem with mountain bikes. Because MTBs have a long travel suspension, and the fork dives to a great extent when you brake, the reach of the light cone is often diminished by up to 90%. Supernova’s special high beam is optimized to increase the beam above the light-dark boundary so that it compensates for the movement of the fork. This way, the visibility of the pathway is maintained. The high beam of the M99 reflector has a 56% larger opening angle than other comparable front lights. Using the low beam, you can ride to the trailhead without dazzling others. Once you go offroad, you can change to the high beam at the push of a button.

Illumination of bends
When a cyclist leans into a bend, the dipped beam, which is sharply limited at the glare horizon, tilts to the side with the rider, so that the way ahead is only partially illuminated. In contrast, the brilliant high beam radiates far beyond the glare horizon and the light streams into the corner. As a result, there is a much improved illumination of the pathway when cornering and thus a significant increase in safety for cyclists.

Integrated and compact switches – Supernova‘s high beam and horn are easy to operate at the touch of a button. There are several options for holders on the handlebars. The high beam switch is magnetic and clicks into the respective holder. The Supernova horn has a new button which activates the horn without a switching relay.
