Supernova received the German Innovation Gold Award for the M99 Tail Light 2. The jury was impressed by the e-bike taillight, which was part of the exquisite circle of Gold Award winner in the "E-Mobility" area.

In its reasoning, the jury wrote: »The e-bike is becoming increasingly important as a means of transportation in modern road traffic. The innovative M99 Tail Light 2 Pro combines back and brake light in a robust aluminum housing and, as a structural part of the luggage rack, enables the harmonious integration into bicycle design. Particularly noteworthy is the minimalist design approach in connection with a particularly high light quality. A product that is convincing and functionally convincing that increases security and at the same time expands the design options of e-bike designers.

«The M99 Tail Light 2 Pro is the first road light with such a homogeneous light signature. The light density of the outer line is an absolute novelty and the striking brake light with five -way brightness elegantly attracts attention in the center. The aluminum body can be used as a structural part of the luggage rack and opens up completely new possibilities: one part that has so far only been a necessity becomes a style component that increases the attractiveness of the e-bike and at the same time improves security.

With the German Innovation Award, the Council for Design distinguishes future -oriented innovations that have a sustainable effect and offer added value for the user. There were a total of 700 submissions this time, from industry giants, hidden champions and start-ups. »The focus is on the evaluation of the submitted innovations. It is the differentiation feature of the German Innovation Award, «explains Lutz Dietzold, Managing Director of the Council for Design. »This is particularly good when future users are involved in product and design development at an early stage. Many companies have recognized this and rely on corresponding methods to recognize real customer needs and to develop economically relevant product. The fusion of analog and digital innovations is increasingly important for the future success of new developments. «
