With the B54 MAX, SUPERNOVA has set a new record with up to 3,000 lumens in the high beam. Currently, it is one of the brightest bicycle front light with German road approval (StVZO). The power of 30 high-performance LEDs in two separate optical systems ensures perfect illumination. The battery-powered daytime running light features the latest technology and ensures maximum safety during the day. The backlit Supernova logo becomes visible as dusk approaches. The highly efficient low beam with only 5 W consumption is a welcome support on roads with oncoming traffic. A unique feature of this new development is that you can freely adjust all brightness levels of the low beam and high beam within legally specified limits. This means that the front light can be adapted for tough daily use on commutes and even for crossing a continent. The new battery is perfectly protected in a full carbon housing and comes with a warranty of five years when using the long-life mode.

ACCURATE TO THE MINUTE

A precise Battery Management Controller integrated into the battery enables a precise, up-to-the minute display of remaining light for all brightness levels in the SUPERNOVA app, independent of temperature. The status is displayed on the battery itself with an RGB LED.

RESERVE LIGHT

Never be left in the dark again: Two hours of ECO low beam are always automatically available to you after the normal lighting time has expired. This mode is still significantly brighter than many other front lights on the market.

BATTERY HEATING

The optimum charging temperature of a rechargeable battery is around 20°C. Therefore, in our high-tech battery, as in a modern electric car, an integrated battery heater ensures the optimal charging temperature when it is too cold. In case of high heat above 40°C, charging is automatically prevented until the temperature has dropped again.

HIBERNATION MODE

If you do not use the battery for a longer period of time, you can simply put it into hibernation mode. It is then kept at optimal voltage at the charger. This stops the chemical aging of the battery almost completely and a deep discharge is prevented

LONGLIFE MODE

The Longlife Mode ensures a particularly long service life of the battery cells. Due to a special processor-controlled charge, this mode prevents any overheating of the cells during the charging process. The battery is only charged to 85% in this mode, which extends the service life.

5-YEAR WARRANTY

All you have to do is activate the fully automatic Longlife Mode for more than 50% of usage time and, for example, make sure that the battery is not left fully charged in a hot car for a longer period of time. Even without using the Longlife Mode, we still give an exceptional 3-year warranty.

LIGHT SENSOR

The light sensor in the battery enables intelligent activation of the low beam when darkness falls or if there is a sudden change in light, for example when driving through a tunnel.

SUPERNOVA HIGH BEAM

As the first manufacturer, Supernova launched a legally approved high beam for bicycles. The high beam is one of the most important innovations in the bicycle lighting industry since the new German road code legislation. The high beam offers, in addition to the excellent range, a great illumination which increases the safety of riders significantly. Now, approved bicycle lights offer illumination for difficult terrain, and the cyclist can more quickly perceive hanging branches, signs, junctions or poorly visible pedestrians - no matter how steep and winding the trail is! Our Supernova high beam has an extremely wide beam angle. This ensures excellent visibility of the surroundings.

THE ADVANTAGE OF HIGH BEAMS WHEN ILLUMINATING CURVES

Supernova uses a special high beam with an extra-large aperture angle, which provides light above the central light cone for improved illumination so that signs or hanging branches are much more visible. Standard front lights have a low beam that tilts to the side when cornering so that an essential part of the curve is no longer illuminated. The greatly increased luminosity of the Supernova high beam radiates far beyond the glare horizon and creates an excellent view of curves. This results in a much-improved illumination of the trail when cornering. Thus there is an enormous gain in safety for the cyclist.

HIGH BEAM CAN COMPENSATE WHEN THE SUSPENSION FORK DIPS

MTBs are known to have a particular problem: Because suspensions have a long travel and dip when you brake, the range of the front light can be reduced up to 90%. Supernova’s special high beam is optimized so that a lot of light is available above the cut-off line, so that the fork movement is compensated and the view of the path is maintained. When you ride through the city traffic to get to the trail, you can ride with the glare-free low beam. As soon as needed, you can switch on the high beam at the touch of a button.

SUPERNOVA APP

The Supernova app for the B54 Max & B54 Pro is designed for use during driving. It can be installed on smartphones or smartwatches with Android or Apple iOS. On the Nighttride screen, the app shows at a glance the currently activated fluorescent level and the additionally available light modes with the respective luminous times. Various comfort functions can simply be activated or deactivated using the app. If you don't want to use the cell phone while driving, you can of course program and control the headlight without an app.

In addition, the housings are anodized, salt water-resistant, and defy the most adverse conditions. Extreme tests in all seasons and climates by ultracycling athletes on the road with SUPERNOVA lighting prove their outstanding reliability and durability.

For example, completely uninterrupted heat dissipation can only be obtained by a housing that is made seamlessly from a single piece of aluminum. In extreme situations, integrated heat sensors keep the headlight in an optimum temperature range. With extensive computer simulations, our engineers continue to find the most appropriate way to derive the heat from the LEDs. Our more than 20 years of experience with LED front lights comes into its own here.
