If you are at the ultra hardTrans am Bike Race has conquered the second prize, what is the next challenge? Keith Morical now has the goal of oneGuinnessTo set up world record. On June 14th at 5 a.m., Keith Morical from Walla Walla in Washington, on the way to crossing the bike by 48 US states in less than 43 days ...

Crazy, right? Above all, when you consider that Keith is 60 years old. The route that ends in Maine is 11,400 km long and has over 64,600 m gradients. The route is 70% longer than that Trans am Bike Race! Before he left, Keith called me to discuss which equipment would be ideal for the world record challenge.

First of all, congratulations!" I said. “That was a great success last year. Second in the trans am Bike Race - all respect! ""Yes", Said Keith," this is a hard race, Marcus, especially because you have to drive as a self -catering ". 'Unsupported' - i.e. to participate as a self -catering - means that the drivers of the Trans am Bike Race are not allowed private care or private accommodations. You are a driver, navigator, mechanic, physio, and cook in one.

Keith has been raving about Supernova for a long time, and he has used the E3 Pro2 dynamo curtain for the Trans am Race. ""How was the E3 Pro2 Dynamo Course During the Trans AM?" I asked. ""It was great! You really need a good dynamic curator as a self -catering in this race. But the upcoming world record attempt is different because we are traveling as a team. My two sisters, my niece, a cameraman and a photographer follow in an accompanying car.

We then considered which headlights would be best suited for his world record tour. After all, headlights are a critical part of the equipment when it comes to managing ultra -distances. Ultimately, Keith chose the super bright supernova B54 and the Airstream to adapt to the site. He does not need a dynamo light for this race because his accompanying crew can charge the batteries.

But what about the corona crisis?

Doesn't the fatal threat of the virus make this trip an impossible challenge? Keith thinks differently. The two-time threat from the Covid-19 virus and the political unrest within the USA spurs him. He wants to show that realizing the dream of a single nation can give hope.

I promised to send him 500 masks that we have in stock here at Supernova. Keith wants to hand it out to people he meets on the go without masks and of course his team uses them to get through the states as safely as possible. This is a great idea, I think!

This extreme trip is definitely risky. Who knows what will happen. Keith and his team will have to face enormous emotional, physical and material challenges. The bike or the accompanying car can break. Keith could suffer from injuries or overload. It will rain and storm safely - nobody knows how this adventure will end.

Will he make it?

Keith is decided. It is not just about facing this challenge personally. He wants to document the condition in the USA on this trip. The future is currently uncertain and many people have lost everything and have to start again. The photographer will document Keith's journey and his encounters. On the first day, Keith stepped into the pedals for 20 hours and already covered 427 km - despite fog, rain and freezing temperature. What's next?
