Supernova has been designing and manufacturing high performance bicycle lighting for over 20 years. Our requirements for the quality of mechanical processing and design are exceptionally demanding. Another special feature and strength of the light development at Supernova is the high practical relevance in all development phases. Since the developers and the company owner are passionate cyclists themselves, practical use is the top priority. At SUPERNOVA, the valuable feedback from ultra-endurance riders is used and as 24h racers, the developers also like to go out on the race track themselves with prototypes - this is not available anywhere else. The feedback from some professional racers is also very valuable to us and helps in the constant perfection of our products. Quality and best functionality are our top priorities. That's why SUPERNOVA never sells cheap front lights. With our warranty of three years we grant a whole year longer than legally required in Germany. Some light systems have already proven themselves for over 15 years in tough outdoor use. On these products we give a full five-year warranty.

Optimal cooling of the high-performance LEDs in all our headlights is one of our core competencies. For this, complex laboratory values must be coupled with a great deal of practical experience in order to align the housing design with ideal heat dissipation. The record brightness values of the M99 system can only be achieved through the complex cooling of the automotive LED matrix. Our 20 years of experience with LED headlights comes into full play here. The electronics and housing have been optimized through careful material selection and computationally intensive thermal simulations so that the LEDs can operate at the best possible efficiency even at peak performance. Seamlessly fabricated from a single piece of aluminum, the package has completely uninterrupted heat dissipation and is patent pending. The specially shaped cooling fin structure is designed to dissipate heat from the LEDs, even when stationary, through an enhanced stack effect. In extreme situations, an integrated heat sensor with control processes, also patent-pending, always keeps the headlamp within the optimum temperature range.
